Shabbat Candles

We understand that candles are made from wax that hardens. We got to see how when it gets hot it melts and when it cools it hardens again. Did you know that crayons do the same?

On shabbat we make kiddush on a cup full of wine/grape juice

Challah Braiding

we practice making braids from playdough, then model magic by the time friday came about we could braid our own challah by ourselves!

We know that shabbat begins at Sunset Friday evening. We got to understand how the sun travels around the world creates day as it goes.

We then got to draw our own version of the sun!

Homes!

We know that Avraham lived in a tent. We had so much fun creating our village. Some were high rise building, mansions, and small homes. It was nice to visit with each other.
