building a sukkah!

we got to hammer some nails into cardboard just like we are building our very own sukkah!

shoes!

On Yom Kippur we don't wear leather shoes...

but how do we know what is leather and what is not! 

Well we had a shoe sale with so many pairs of shoes,

 and Morah showed us which shoes were leather and which ones weren't. 

isn't that so cool? we even got our very own coins to pay with

fluffy clouds!!

When Hashem took us out of Egypt, and while we were in the desert, we had enemies that wanted to destroy us. so to protect us He made a pillar of clouds to protect us. 

to commemorate that we build a sukkah for sukkot!

on sukkot we build a sukkah/ hut 

we eat and drink in it and sometimes people even sleep in it.

we cant wait to finish our door hangers for our sukkahs!

charity boxes!

we learned so much about tzedakah this week and how there are so many different coins and how each one is a different amount. 

we started giving tzedakah everyday by circle time but we wanted each person to continue giving; so we each got to paint and make our very own tzedakah boxes!

cant wait to see how heavy they get from all the money we are putting inside!

 were learning about apples, we were given three different colors of paint; green, yellow, and red; colors of apples, and we were able to paint what we wanted using those colors
