Happy 3rd Birthday Shaina Perel

Wow! Today is Shaina Perel's first time joining Mommy and her sister Chaya in lighting the Shabbat candles. Some people start this very special Mitzvah at the age of three.

Flower experiment

We are learning all about flowers. We know that flowers need water and sun. With this experiment, we are able to actually "see" that the plant drinks water. The flower takes on some of the color of the water its in (we put a few drops of food coloring into some water.) What we didn't expect however, is that the blue had the most change. The one in the green water turned just a bit green. But for some reason, the one in the pink, had no change at all. And as expected, the flower in the clear water had no change at all.

A puzzle of our class

This week, we learned all about the Mitzvah of loving your friend and treating them as yourself. We can learn about friendship, and the importance each and every person holds, from a puzzle. A puzzle is not complete, until every piece is in place. On the other hand, just one puzzle piece alone won't complete a picture. So to, although all of our friends are very different from each other, they each play a specail role in making up our class.
We all made a puzzle piece with a picter of us and some friends. And, we made a person. All of our people look very different, yet, they are all friends.
