this activity helped us with learning the story of Yaakov cooking bean soup for his father Yitzchok. Yaakov's grandfather, Avraham, passed away, so he wanted to help comfort his father with some lentil bean soup.
When Eisav, his twin brother, comes home after a long day of hunting, he smells the soup and instantly demands some. (Yaakov obliges, in exchange for the title as the elder of the twin brothers.)
