Decorating our Fish cake
We counted down to 100 days by using a fishbowl with fish. Each day of
school, we put up a fish- we did it in patterns. Every 10th day, we
put up a big fish that represented the 10 days that passed. This way
we were able to take down the row to make room for the next (pattern
for the next) 10 days. This really helped us review patterning,
practice numbers, and even learn how to count by 10s.

Our '100 items' collection
It was really cool to use 100 in all different shapes and sizes. It
really helped us see, that although 100 is a really big number, it'll
look different (and smaller- when comparing ex. beads to enveloples).
Some things that were brought in:
beads, envelopes, pennies, dominoes, crayons, popsiclesticks,
paperclips, pasta, spoons, papper, cards etc.
Thank you all for participating!

Sorting money- group activity/game
Wow! I never realized coins could be so much fun!!! First of all, who
knew that all those different colored and sized "pennies" really had
their own names. Theres a penny that is copper - one cent, a nickle
silver and big- five cents, a small dime- ten cents, and biggest of
all + with ridges on the edges, the quarter- 25 cents.
It was lots of fun to sort the money and to trade our pennies in for
another coin of equal value. (Ex.If Rozee would give me a nickle, then
I would give her five pennies.)
